Production Scheduler
Cambridgeshire
Graduate / Entry-Level Opportunity

At The Collective Network, we’re partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Cambridgeshire that is looking to appoint a Production Scheduler to join their Supply Chain team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or entry-level candidate looking to build a long-term career in supply chain, operations, or production planning. If you’re analytical, organised, and keen to develop within a fast-paced environment, this could be the ideal first step.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll play a key role in coordinating production schedules and ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and in full. You’ll gain hands-on experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, materials planning, customer care, and transport teams — giving you excellent exposure across the wider business.
Full training and support will be provided, making this role well-suited to ambitious graduates or candidates with some early career experience in operations, logistics, or planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining production schedules to ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
  • Working closely with manufacturing teams to monitor daily production performance and adjust plans where required.
  • Coordinating with the materials team to manage supply challenges and align production plans accordingly.
  • Communicating updates on product availability to internal stakeholders including Customer Care and Transport Planning.
  • Supporting the business in achieving key performance targets, including high On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance and minimising stock risk.

What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with graduates or early-career professionals who demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational ability.
  • Confident communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Skills & Experience

  • A-Level qualification (or equivalent) – degree-level education is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong Excel skills (comfortable working with data and spreadsheets).
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as M3 (desirable, not essential).
  • A genuine interest in supply chain, planning, or operations.

Why Apply?
This role offers:

  • A clear entry point into supply chain and production planning.
  • The opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Real responsibility from day one.
  • Long-term career development and progression opportunities.

If you’re a graduate looking to kick-start your career in supply chain or an entry-level candidate ready for your next challenge in Cambridgeshire, we’d love to hear from you.
