Tired of nights and looking for a maintenance role where you can actually have a life outside of work?

We’re looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing food manufacturing business in the Corby / Kettering / Wellingborough area.
This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit, supportive engineering team where people genuinely work together, support each other and take pride in keeping the site running.

What’s in it for you?

  • Up to £51,000 depending on experience
  • Monday–Friday shifts
  • No nights
  • Supportive, close-knit engineering team
  • Varied hands-on engineering role
  • Opportunity to develop and progress
  • Work within a growing food manufacturing environment
  • A genuine team environment where you’re not just another number

The Role
Working alongside the Reliability Manager and wider Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in keeping production and packaging equipment running reliably and efficiently.
You’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and helping drive improvements across the site.
Your day-to-day will include:

  • Responding to breakdowns and reducing production downtime
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
  • Working on motors, sensors, inverters, conveyors and pneumatics
  • Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
  • Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Maintaining accurate records through the CMMS system
  • Supporting machinery installation and commissioning
  • Working closely with Production, Quality and Operations
  • Ensuring engineering work meets health, safety and food manufacturing standards

What are we looking for?
You'll ideally have:

  • Level 3 engineering qualification – NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent
  • Previous multi-skilled maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Good understanding of health & safety
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Food, FMCG, packaging or process manufacturing experience would be a big advantage.
PLC fault-finding, 18th Edition, CMMS and continuous improvement experience would also be beneficial.

The Bottom Line
If you're a multi-skilled engineer who wants good money, Monday–Friday working, no nights and a genuinely supportive team, this could be a great next move.
