This is a rare Technical/Quality role with a global fresh produce business who pride themselves on the quality of their products. You can be a part of this. If working closely with suppliers, retailers and wider internal teams is your thing, then please keep reading!
You’ll be making sure everything is spot on with the product. The specs, labels, packaging, quality data is accurate, compliant, and doesn’t come back to bite anyone.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Keeping product specs and labels correct and audit-ready
- Watching quality performance through KPIs, QSL data and shelf-life reports
- Digging into quality issues and customer complaints, finding the actual cause, not just patching over it
- Getting involved in benchmarking, sample evaluations and customer visits
- Working with growers and packing sites to keep standards up and improving
- Travelling to source and packing sites now and again
What you’ll need:
- A couple of years already in a similar quality or technical role
- Solid knowledge of weights & measures and labelling law
- An internal auditing qualification, and you’ve actually used it
- You can get to the bottom of a problem and fix it, not just write it up
- You’re comfortable hosting customers on-site
- Good with MS Office and even better with people
