A milestone's at risk. You're the one in the room with the plan, the budget and the answer.
Our client is a fast-growing advanced composites manufacturer supplying aerospace, automotive, defence and space. They need a Project Manager with real composites or aerospace experience, someone who's delivered physical hardware to customer schedules and knows what “industrialisation” actually looks like on a shop floor.
You'll:
- Own project delivery end to end, from kick-off through to completion
- Build real project plans, with critical paths, resource loading and honest timelines
- Keep cost and schedule in the same picture, so trade-offs get made with full visibility
- Be the main point of contact for customers and internal teams, with reporting that's concise and paired with action
- Spot risks early, quantify them and escalate before they become problems
- Feed lessons learned back into how the team plans and governs future projects
You'll need:
- Composites or aerospace project experience is the priority here, not a nice-to-have
- Hands-on project management delivering physical hardware, through industrialisation and into production
- A track record running multiple projects at once without losing control of any of them
- Strong Office 365 skills, particularly Project, Excel and PowerPoint
- The commercial awareness to manage budgets and change properly
Automotive or space experience will also be considered. APM/PMP/PRINCE2 or grant-funded project exposure (Innovate UK, ATI, ESA) are a bonus.
