Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Nights
Cambridgeshire
Permanent
The night shift. It’s not for everyone, but if you prefer to work in a smaller team without all the hustle and bustle of the day shift, it just might be for you.
As an experienced maintenance engineer, you appreciate how important it is to keep machine downtime to a minimum, you’re hot off the mark when it comes to breakdowns, but you also understand the importance of the planned maintenance. The quiet of the night shift allows for quite a bit more time and focus, doesn’t it?
If you’re here because you enjoy your job but you sometimes wish you had a little more time for a methodical fix and the time to analyse where CI may be required, then the night may be for you.
What’s more, this position sits within a state-of-the-art facility who not only have shown huge growth year on year, but have just signed off an extremely healthy investment for new kit, new lines, you name it. So, if it’s the quiet of the night that you like, but you still want to be involved in the meaty stuff, you’ll have the best of both worlds here.
What will we require from you?
- A clear passion for engineering and continuous improvement
- The ability to not only recognise a problem, but put in methods to resolve them
- A recognised Engineering Qualification – Time-Served Apprentice/NVQ LVL 3/HNC/BTEC
- Experience working in either the food manufacturing industry, or a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably with conveyors, optical graders and packaging machinery
If you’re CV isn’t up to date, but you want to find out more, apply any way and we’ll do the rest later!
