Technical Manager
Up to £50,000 + benefit package
This could be your next step into Technical management, we have an opportunity to lead and grow the sites technical function for a fresh produce client of ours in the Cambridgeshire area. In this role, you'll be working to ensure best practice, assuring the sites product quality & QMS, whilst working closely with some the UK's biggest food retailers. You'll be picking up the site's team in a good position where you'll be directing a team of both quality & compliance personnel.
Responsibilities inclusive of but not limited to:
- Coaching & mentoring the team
- Developing the sites food safety culture & ensuring best practice
- Leading the sites Food Safety HACCP team.
- Conducting internal & external audits
- Working with the retailers
- Hygiene audits
- Ensure compliance to the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and customer policies.
- Customer portals
Ideal experience:
- Fresh produce experience
- Experience of working with a wide band of UK retailers
- Leadership experience
- A track record of developing a team
- Knowledgeable round audit requirements
- Comfortable leading and ensuring a food safety culture
- Reporting on KPI's
- Experience with both factory & growers
