Position Overview: We are looking for a Maintenance Manager who is not just experienced in the technical aspects of maintenance but is also passionate about all things engineering. This position would suit an experienced maintenance manager who is used to managing a maintenance team of 15+ engineers or an experienced team leader who wants to create change, implement a preventative maintenance system and develop the teams skills.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Maintenance Planning:
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance activities with overall business goals.
Drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance processes.
Team Development:
Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance for professional and personal development.
Identify training needs and implement programs to upskill the maintenance team.
Encourage a learning culture that values innovation and embraces new technologies.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with regulatory standards.
Implement best practices to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Conduct regular safety audits and promote a safety-first mindset within the team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully driving culture change.
- Passion for creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance strategies and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree, HNC, HND, BTEC, NVQ or City & Guilds in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
